Colorado gambling was legalized through a state-wide campaign with a “Vote Yes on 4” slogan that was successfully culminated with the largest state-wide yes vote on a constitutional amendment at 57% approval.
The success of gaming in Colorado allowed for many attempts to expand gambling to other towns in Colorado and an ongoing political campaign was maintained to help thwart and stave off the expansion of gaming outside the current gaming districts.
In November 2008, a successful campaign to raise the limits of gambling bets, add Craps and Roulette, and add 24-hour gambling provides for the success of larger, full service casinos in the district.
